BACK, BRIEFLY, IN THE BAND
- The San Jose Mercury News, 5.25.93

Guitarist Izzy Stradlin, who abruptly quit Guns N' Roses in 1991 amid reports of artistic differences, is temporarily replacing his replacement, Gilby Clarke.

Axl Rose invited Stradlin back for five stadium dates overseas while Clarke, who broke his wrist in an April 29 motorcycle accident, is on the mend. Clarke recently underwent surgery to install a metal plate and screws in his left wrist; he'll sport a customized cast when he rejoins the band in early June.
