In May of 2000 there was a major problem with this GN'R Setlist Almanac. A GN'R "fan" named Berthold contacted me asking to use all of this information on this site (pictures, ticket scans, reviews, etc). I informed this person about all the hard work that a lot of people had done into making this site amazing. I told him he could not use this information and that he should start an original site with his ideas and shouldn't plagiarize. Regardless, he told me he didn't care and was going to use everything anyway. He also verbally attacked me through email, mentioning mail-bombs and hacking into my site. I had a slight problem on my hands.

I then contacted other GN'R webmasters seeking their help. The response was overwhelming!! Everyone was really helpful in trying to get Berthold to not use this information on his site. Through these contacts I also found out that Berthold was selling CDRs with my entire website on them!!

A cyber-attack was initiated - Berthold's ISP was contacted as was his website hoster. I made an informative banner with Berthold's picture (which can be partially seen below) describing this situation. Other GN'R webmasters gladly posted this banner on their sites.

After about a week of this, Berthold finally took his site down. I am leaving this information here in case a similar situation arises in the future.
